  • You're not playing fair ...I'm taking my ball and going home.
  • It's just too difficult ...I can't go through with having this child.
  • I never expected it to be like this ...I'm leaving this marriage.
  • Why is this happening to me??  I can't believe in God anymore!!
Something seems way too familiar with all these statements.

We can see that something is there ...but, can we also see that something is not there??

Commitment ...

Yes, what is often lacking is commitment.

And certainly, maturity goes hand-in-hand with commitment.

Most of us have heard the saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."  And that does not mean going home ...at least not until the task is completed, the commitment is served, and the right has been made right.

And certain things should be lifetime commitments: like marriage, children, and hopefully serving God. 

Married couples go hand-in-hand down the aisle just after they make their commitment ...and it serves them both best when they also reach out to God, walking with Him.

Those who don't, aren't even in the same ballpark.
